問題はturn tai1である。この意味は上の注の通りだが，この場合は犬自身がtailを持っており，文字通り尻尾を巻くこともできることが面白いところで，アイロニーとしゃれが出てくる。尻尾を持っていない者が主語であればさしずめ「尻尾を巻いて逃げ出す」とでもなるだろうか。次も同様である。

上の to her head and to her heart のうち， heartは必要だがheadは必ずなくてはならないものでもない。しかし次の baby's head までくると，これはどうしてもなければならないもの，いやむしろ her heart 以上に必要であることが分かる。「スロウボイ嬢は自分の頭 と心に名誉を施した……」という言い方はあまり明確な意味を持つものではなく，これはむしろ次の，赤ん坊の「頭」を家具などにふんだんにぶつける彼女のそそっかしさを滑稽に表現するための準備なのだ。このことは baby's head まで読んできてやっと分かるしゃれである。次も言い回しによるしゃれで，大阪の漫才に通じる面白さがある。
